Margaritaville Island Hotel Health & Safety Program

After weeks of uncertainty and concern over the safety of our employees and our guests, we are happy to share we are reactivating operations at our hotel. The situation is still tenuous and by no means do we feel it is back to business as usual, so we have spent this time away instituting additional safety measures and precautions. Our goal is to help prevent the further spread of the virus while providing a space for you and your family to confidently relax and escape. These new initiatives are based upon what we know about the virus, and what we hear from you, our guests, as to what is important when traveling away from home. You have our commitment that we will continue to evaluate and adjust as we test these practices, always striving to deliver the Margaritaville quality and reputation that is a hallmark of our brand.

Cleanliness & Food Safety

Cleanliness is top of mind for the team at Margaritaville. All venues will clean, disinfect, and sanitize using COVID-19 approved products. All hotel properties are required to share new standards on their respective websites. Every surface in all common areas will be disinfected after each use. Kitchens will receive a daily deep cleaning and soiled linens and towels will be transported in sealed, single-use plastic bags. All food and beverage self-service, grab-and-go, and buffet areas have been removed, and are now handled by staff to ensure a consistent germ-free environment.

  • Valet services are temporarily suspended; however, we will have guest service associates available to assist upon arrival. Feel free to pull up to the front of the hotel to unload and check-in. Our team will be happy to assist with your luggage and other needs.
  • We are working to maintain social distancing in our lobby and have also installed hand sanitizers and shields at the front desk.
  • All team members are required to wear masks at all times.
  • Complimentary masks are provided to all guests upon arrival.

 

Lobby and Public Areas – Cleanliness & Guest Experience

  • Team members will be wearing masks and masks are also available to guests at the front desk.
  • We have installed directional signage on the floor clings to assist with traffic flow promoting social distancing.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout all public areas.
  • Public area cleaning schedules have been increased with special emphasis on high touch areas.
  • Elevator capacity is maximized at four guests per trip.
  • Lobby bathrooms have been closed to the public and are for guest use only.
  • Pool deck chaise lounge chairs have been spaced out to ensure social distancing.
  • Maintain social distancing when moving around the pool deck and in the pool.

 

Guest Rooms & Suites – Cleanliness & Guest Experience

  • Every guest room surface will be sanitized with approved peroxide multipurpose cleaner. Special attention will be given to touchpoints.
  • In-room glassware has been removed and replaced with pre-wrapped, disposable cups.
  • The Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Makers have been removed and sanitized and will be delivered upon request.
  • Stay-over service has been discontinued to minimize your interaction with housekeeping staff. Additional towels and supplies will be delivered to your door as needed.
  • All housekeeping team members have received special training and will be wearing approved masks and gloves.

 

Restaurants and Bars

  • Many of our dining areas have been redesigned to provide you with a clean and private space promoting social distancing.
  • We are requiring all team members to wear masks and have daily temperature checks.
  • Bar Chairs have been removed and tables have been spread out for social distancing.
  • Plastic cups and utensils will be used as well as take and throw away menus.
  • Surfaces in front of house and back of house will be sanitized frequently with special attention to touchpoints

 

What You Can Do to Help:

  • Practice social distancing at all times staying six feet or more away from team members and other guests.
  • Follow our on-property recommended guidelines regarding seating, elevator capacity & procedures.
  • Do not move pool chaise lounge chairs closer together.
  • Maintain social distancing when moving around the pool deck and in the pool.
  • Wear a mask, use our on-property hand sanitizers and wash hands frequently.
  • Notify our guest services team of any concerns.

Lastly, as you may be aware, Margaritaville is working to preserve our natural resources and reduce our carbon footprint. This means limiting the use of plastic and recycling whenever possible. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and in order to prioritize safety, we’ve had to make some temporary compromises. Please know that as soon as possible and wherever possible, we will return to sustainable practices
